RYC students visit Chicago.Ask any fellow Rotarian who has hosted an international student through our Rotary Youth Exchange program, and chances are they'll tell you it is an experience of a lifetime — and one you don't want to miss!

This year, Jakub “Kubo” Lapin, a 17-year-old student from Bratislava, Slovakia, will be the Rotary Club of Tulsa’s Rotary Youth Exchange student.  Kubo will be attending Bishop Kelley and is expected to arrive in Tulsa as early as August 3, 2009.

Kubo Lapin.Bright, energetic and outgoing, Kubo is interested in computers and sports (he snowboards, swims, plays volleyball and is a competitive mountain bike rider) and is looking forward to his year-long visit to Tulsa.  Kubo will spend time with three different families, each of which will host him for about three and a half months.

The Club is looking for families who would like the experience of sharing their home with Kubo.  If you are interested or would like more information on the program, contact John Howland by email or telephone 585-9211 (o) or 645-3944 (cell).
